GBP Cebu Site maintains ISO certifications
Global Business Power Corporation (GBP) subsidiaries, Cebu Energy Development Corporation (CEDC) and Toledo Power Co. (TPC), have recently passed the reassessment audit for Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015), Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015) and have upgraded their Occupational Health and Safety certificate to the latest version, ISO 45001:2018.
“These certifications reaffirm GBP’s core value of passion for excellence, as well as our commitment in providing consistent quality in our services,” said Leah G. Diaz, FVP for Cebu Operations.
“At GBP, we are dedicated to continually improve and align our processes to global standards to provide our customers with reliable, cost-efficient and sustainable energy solutions,” she added.
The ISO 9001:2015 outlines quality management system requirements to promote delivery of products and services that consistently meet customer requirements and expectations. The ISO 14001:2015 emphasizes enhancement of environmental performance, fulfilment of compliance obligations, and achievement of environmental objectives while ISO 45001:2018 is the newly published occupational health and safety management standard that replaced OHSAS 18001:2007.
GBP’s other power generation subsidiaries namely Panay Energy Development Corporation, Panay Power Corporation and GBH Power Resources Inc. have likewise maintained the validity of their certificates for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and upgraded to ISO 45001:2018.
Cebu Energy Development Corporation (CEDC) owns and operates a 246 MW CFB power plant while Toledo Power Co. (TPC) owns and operates 60 MW and 82 MW coal-fired power plants, as well as a 40 MW diesel-fired power plant—all located in Toledo City, Cebu.#
