Panay Energy Development Corporation (PEDC), a subsidiary of Global Business Power Corporation (GBP), recently contributed essential items that would further assist Iloilo City’s response to the continuing health crisis in partnership with GT Foundation, Inc. (GTFI) and the Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (Metrobank) Iloilo Area.
Collectively, the joint donation reached more than 300 personal protective equipment (PPE) and a total of 15,500 kilograms of rice for the benefit of the Iloilo City residents. For four months, Iloilo was subjected to stricter protocols due to the varying community quarantine declaration of MECQ and ECQ in the City. In turn, communities and businesses were once again affected by the constrained movement brought by the sterned local guidelines. The partnership was brought about by the participating organizations’ shared commitment and passion to help the local government in reviving Iloilo City’s economic activities and keeping the residents safe and healthy.
GBP is fully owned by Meralco PowerGen Corporation. As member of the One Meralco Group, PEDC is one in powering the good life of the Filipino by contributing to the overall well-being of the community, especially during this pandemic.#
