This Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Data when transacting or doing business with Global Business Power Corporation (“GBP”) or its subsidiaries.

Personal data refers to all types of information that can directly or indirectly identify a certain person such as name, birthdate, age, address, gender, marital status, and identification card details, among others.

GBP values your Personal Data and takes your privacy seriously.  Furthermore, GBP is committed to ensuring that your Personal Data is protected from its collection to its disposal.

This Privacy Policy may be updated to conform to the applicable data privacy laws and regulations, as may be promulgated and/or amended from time to time.

Generally, GBP collects your data for any of the following purposes:

  • To comply with the GBP’s obligations under the law and as required by government organizations and/or agencies
  • To comply with legal and regulatory requirements or obligations; and
  • To perform such other processing or disclosure that may be required under law or regulations.
  • Other uses by nature of similar transactions.

In addition, GBP may use your Personal Data depending on your transactions with the Company as follows:

  1. Employment:
    • To evaluate applicants’ qualification for open positions through screening, employment examination, interview, background investigation and medical examination, communicate results and recommend future job opportunities
    • To grant access to GBP premises for performing individual duties and obligations
    • To perform onboarding activities (e.g., requirement processing, orientation, HRIS encoding)
    • To process employees’ payroll-related matters (e.g., compensation, benefits, allowances, loans, reimbursements)
    • To facilitate employee development through internal and external trainings
    • To evaluate employee’s performance
    • To perform employee engagement functions (e.g., annual physical examination, team-building activities, sports festival)
    • To assist employees with local and international travel
    • To facilitate employee off-boarding process (e.g., employee clearance, exit interview, final pay)
    • To comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., SSS, HDMF, BIR, DOLE, PhilHealth)
  2. Shareholders:
    • To comply with GBP’s obligations under the law and as required by government organizations and/or agencies
    • To communicate the company’s performance and updates
    • To inform of the schedule of management meetings and annual shareholders meeting
  3. Vendors, Suppliers or Contractors
    • To conduct appropriate due diligence checks
    • To register and process applications
    • To prepare and execute required documentation
    • To acquire potential customers and monitor existing clients
    • To perform financial transactions such as processing of payments assist in suppliers’ billing involving foreign exchange requirements, or other actions necessary in the implementation of our contract.
    • Any other purpose relating to any of the above.
  4. Customers and Business Partners
    • To conduct appropriate due diligence checks
    • To register and process applications
    • to prepare and execute required documentation
    • to coordinate meetings and discussions
    • To perform financial transactions such as issuance of billing statements and processing of payments
  5. Guests and visitors:
    • To establish your identity
    • To record the purpose of your visit
    • To monitor visitor’s activities inside the company premises, including ingress and egress of equipment, vehicle, etc.


DATA DISCLOSURE AND SHARING

Access to your Personal Data is restricted to GBP and to other third parties including, but not limited to, GBP’s affiliates, subsidiaries, parent company and other related companies, third-party service providers, suppliers, financial institutions, government agencies, and external auditors for the Purposes indicated above or as may be required under applicable laws, rules, and other regulations (whether local or foreign).

In the event Personal Data is required by a third party, GBP requires such third party to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to ensure that all Personal Data shall be used only in a manner consistent with the purpose for which it was originally collected and to which you consented.


RETENTION AND DISPOSAL OF PERSONAL DATA

Your Personal Data shall only be retained for as long as necessary for: a) the fulfillment of the declared and legitimate Purposes, or when the processing relevant to such Purposes has been terminated, b) for the establishment, exercise or defense of my and GBP’s legal claims, or (c) in compliance with the retention periods provided by applicable laws (whether foreign or local); and (d) for any other legitimate business purpose connected to the Purposes.

Thereafter, your Personal Data shall be destroyed through shredding or other appropriate means and deleted from GBP’s Information and Communications Technology systems. GBP may likewise anonymize Personal Data when certain information is required to be retain for legitimate business purpose.

GBP is committed to ensure that your information is secure. GBP adopts the necessary physical, organizational, and technical security measures required under the relevant law, rules, and regulations to protect the Personal Data collected.
