GBH Power Resources, Inc. (GPRI) owns and operates a 7.5 MW diesel-fired plant in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro.
GPRI supports the growing tourism and agriculture industries, infrastructure and social services in the province. The availability of stable power supply gave rise to commercial establishments, inland resorts, hotels, malls, banks, roads, hospitals, and schools.
In 2010, the capital of Oriental Mindoro, Calapan City, was reclassified from a 4th class city to a 2nd class city, on account of its over-all economic improvement.
