Enhancing Teachers’ Skills

Global Business Power Corporation (GBP), through subsidiaries Panay Energy Development Corporation (PEDC) and Panay Power Corporation (PPC), recently concluded a training session for teachers from its adopted schools. Conducted annually, the workshop aims to assist in the capability and skills enhancement of the teachers from the company’s five adopted schools where GBP Scholars are enrolled. This year’s training session aimed to promote among teachers a greater understanding of gender and development as well as HIV-AIDS for they play a crucial role in promoting empowerment and inclusivity. With proper training and information, teachers can help break down the stigma and misinformation surrounding HIV-AIDS, which remains a key health challenge in the country.
